earthday365 has built its reputation on its annual St. Louis Earth Day Festival, which is now recognized as one of the largest Earth Day celebrations in the country. We also maintain year-round impact through our programs: Recycling On the Go and Green Dining Alliance which engage over a million individuals annually to be more sustainable.
We are working in partnership with affected communities to create volunteer Environmental Justice Days of Action for targeted projects like litter cleanups in parks and neighborhoods. We are implementing a regional messaging campaign called Too Good To Waste educating people on food waste and its impact on climate change.
Current Job Opportunities
Green Dining Alliance Program Manager – Build and support the program’s presence within the St. Louis regional community and increase the recognition of the Green Dining Alliance (GDA) as the primary regional third-party certifier of restaurant sustainability. Develop and implement strategies for greater efficiency and programmatic development. Successfully market the program, recruit new participants, execute audits, and manage resources. Set quarterly program goals in the areas of diversion, participants, and outreach.

Environmental Justice Outreach AmeriCorps VISTA Green Corps – This position would be focusing on our Green Dining Alliance and Environmental Justice Days of Action programs to collaborate in solidarity with under-resourced communities by connecting them with resources focused on illegal dumping, food insecurity, and plastic pollution within watersheds.

Recycling Ambassadors – Want to jumpstart a career in sustainability or the environment? The Recycling On the Go program is hiring part-time positions for outdoor events. Positions include opportunities for attendee education about recycling and waste diversion as well as event recycling and composting at outdoor festivals. $15/hour.

Director of Operations – Responsible for supporting the coordination and implementation of earthday365’s ongoing programs and annual events. The Director of Operations reports to the Executive Director and supervises the program staff. Duties and responsibilities will fluctuate depending on the time of year and the needs of earthday365’s programs.
