Open Space STL’s 59th Annual Operation Clean Stream
Since 1967, Open Space STL has organized Operation Clean Stream, one of the country’s most significant and longest-running river restoration projects. As Stream Team #5, they have been a leading force in watershed restoration and planning across the St. Louis region since 1965, working to preserve, protect, and enhance the Meramec, Missouri, and Mississippi Rivers and their supporting tributaries.
Mark your calendars for August 22, 2026, and be part of the legacy with Open Space STL! Each year, thousands of volunteers come together to restore and rejuvenate our waterways by removing trash and debris from the Meramec River and its tributaries.
