A conversation with Victoria Donaldson, Jenn DeRose, and Tosha Phonix.

Victoria Donaldson is the Program Manager for the Green Dining Alliance, a program of earthday365.

Jenn DeRose is the Known & Grown Manager for the Missouri Coalition for the Environment, Sustainability Consultant for Blackrock Consulting, and the former Program Manager for the Green Dining Alliance.

Tosha Phonix is the Food Justice Organizer for Missouri Coalition for the Environment.

As a native St. Louisan, Victoria is driven by opportunities to enhance her community and the surrounding areas through various means. Through her work with the Green Dining Alliance, Victoria works to diversify and bring new light to environmental sustainability in the St. Louis Metropolitan area with a focus on communities of color.

Jenn has served on the City of St. Louis’s 100% Clean Energy Advisory Board, the US Green Building Council’s Strategic Plan Committee, the Renew MO Commercial Solar Group Buy project, and OneSTL’s Communications Committee. Jenn is a graduate of Washington University, a Focus St. Louis Emerging Leaders graduate, and a New Leaders Council fellow. She enjoys working in her community garden, hiking and floating along Missouri’s beautiful rivers, and eating local, sustainably-raised food from her CSA.

Tosha is working with communities North of Delmar and Metro East with the mission to improve food access and community ownership and representation in local food systems. 2018-2019 Neighborhood Leadership Academy & Neighborhood Leadership Fellow. 2019 Women’s Earth Alliance & Sierra Clubs U.S. Grassroots Accelerator for Women Environmental Leaders. Featured in the Environmental Racism report released by Washington University. Co-host of the Good Food Movement Retreat for Black, Brown and Indegious leaders in the food system. Over sees Food Equity Advisory Board. Sits on the Community Advisory Council for Gephardt Institute for Civic and Community Engagement. Featured in Interviews by St. Louis Public Radio, Earthworms, St. Louis Post Dispatch. She is a mother and urban farmer. She oversees Muhammad Mosque urban farm and work with her son’s school teaching urban agricultural. She is also a Green Schools Quest Mentor.
