🌱 St. Louis Earth Day’s Green Staff is Growing!🌱
St. Louis Earth Day has always operated with a small and scrappy staff – we take pride in our all-hands-on-deck approach to steering our programs and our annual Festival. In fact, our two major programs, Recycling On the Go (ROG) and the Green Dining Alliance (GDA), have each operated with just one full-time employee since their inception. Thanks to some hard work from our Program Managers, ROG and the GDA have rapidly expanded – which is great – but our growth was creating a complicated logistical mess for our Program Managers.
Our fearless leader, Jen Myerscough, decided that ROG and the GDA needed help if we were going to continue to grow, and in fall of 2018, we added two brand new full-time employees to our programs. We could not be happier to introduce Elizabeth Sabetta, Assistant Program Manager for ROG, and Victoria Donaldson, Assistant Program Manager for the GDA.
Elizabeth and Victoria are poised to help dramatically expand our reach, helping to make St. Louis more sustainable and St. Louis Earth Day’s impact on the community more equitable.
In addition to certifying restaurants in sustainability, Victoria will be working on expanding and improving our Green Dining Club Program and using her degree in Graphic Communications to help with the artistic direction of St. Louis Earth Day and the GDA.
Elizabeth has been wrangling volunteers for Recycling On the Go events, managing the DIY Program, and managing social media for St. Louis Earth Day. Although she is new to her full-time position, Elizabeth has been a fixture here at St. Louis Earth Day for years, as a volunteer, a ROG employee, and a ROG Site Supervisor.
Both of these amazing women are devoted to making St. Louis a more sustainable place to live, and St. Louis Earth Day is lucky to have them on board.
