Amazing diversion results from this year’s REX! event.
For the third year, in partnership with the St. Louis Community College – Forest Park Campus, we held the Recycling Extravaganza collection event for hard-to-recycle items on the same day as the Festival. This year, 609 vehicles, 12 bicycles and 1 MetroBus rider unloaded materials to be collected by 25 organizations and businesses for reuse, recycling or appropriate disposal.
The following was diverted from area landfills and dump sites, collected by these event partners and sponsors:
500 CFL bulbs (4 boxes), 450 fluorescent tubes (27 boxes) – Ameren Missouri
