(If you’re bringing your own container, you’ll want to have staff weigh it and write the weight on it beforehand, so they don’t charge you for the weight of the container.)

Grocery

City Greens Market

The bulk section at City Greens Market includes dry goods like beans, nuts, flour, granola, and popcorn. City Greens is a nonprofit that sells local produce at cost and exists to provide access to fresh, quality, affordable food.

Local Harvest Grocery

Local Harvest Grocery has a broad refill section that includes dry goods, spices, and liquids like olive oil, apple cider vinegar, and cleaning products. They also offer a discount for cyclists through bicyclebenefits.org.

Fresh Thyme Market

Fresh Thyme Market locations throughout the St. Louis region offer bulk refill stations (the location at The Foundry is an exception). They offer bulk coffee, peanut butter, trail mix, beans, nuts, and other dry goods.

Bath & Body

Dharma + Dwell

Dharma + Dwell in Webster Groves stocks zero waste items such as package free deodorant and reusable safety razors. Their refill section includes various soaps and cleaning products, including laundry soap and dishwasher pods.

The Refill Effect

The Refill Effect in Kirkwood offers more than 50 choices of household products for refill, including soaps, cleaning products, and even sunscreen. They also offer mending services to keep items in use as long as possible.

The Body Shop

The Body Shop at the Saint Louis Galleria offers hair care, shower gel, and handwash products to be refilled using their bottles. Find out more about their program here.

Beverages

Local Breweries & Brick River Cider

Many local breweries (including Urban Chestnut, pictured here) allow you to fill a growler (most times – any growler) for social gatherings. This is an inexpensive way to enjoy a party without the waste afterwards!

Blueprint Coffee
