Ameren believes offering customers ways to save energy is the right thing to do, according to Michael Menne, vice president of environmental services for Ameren.

“By offering rebates and incentives, we are helping customers afford energy efficiency improvements that will not only save them money on future energy costs, but also helps lower our future generation needs and related emissions,” Menne said. “By participating in Ameren’s efficiency programs, such as cash back rebates on air conditioning, customers can save money while helping the environment — goals we can all agree on.”

Ameren Missouri and Ameren Illinois will be coming together to educate about energy efficiency at the St. Louis Earth Day Festival. Visit the tent to learn how you can enter for a chance to win a $250 gift card towards your Ameren bill or tickets to a Cardinals game. Energy experts will also be onsite to answer your questions.

Guests to the Ameren tent will also be able to learn about the company’s newest renewable energy initiative. In a move demonstrating Ameren Missouri’s continued commitment to renewable and diverse sources of energy, the company announced earlier this year a multi-million-dollar project to build the state’s largest investor-owned solar energy center. The facility will be located in O’Fallon, MO. Construction is scheduled to begin in April following final design and permitting in late spring. The project is expected to deliver power to Ameren Missouri customers by December 2014.

Ameren is committed to powering the quality of life for our customers with cleaner energy derived from a diverse mix of energy sources.
