Board Member Update
We would like to thank our retiring board members Roland Beihl, Nick Frisella, and Donna Bequette, for years of giving their time and talents voluntarily to our organization. We wish them the best in their future endeavors. We are also giving a big welcome to our newest board members, Saad Amir and Liz Beeks, who will surely step up to the task of helping us progress. We are looking forward to their input on our team!
Saad Amir is a Public Affairs Specialist with the region’s largest wastewater and stormwater utility, the Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District (MSD), specializing in Government Affairs.
From a background of advocacy and public service, Saad is responsible for MSD’s public policy agenda and public engagement on a range of priorities. Saad also leads the District’s voter education efforts, directly engaging with the community the District serves. Saad’s efforts have reached thousands of St. Louisans, providing necessary information on ballot propositions worth hundreds of millions of public dollars. While serving on a team of five on the District’s Public Affairs division, Saad has worked to advocate and highlight MSD’s efforts to protect public health and local waterways.
Liz Beeks has been at Christner Inc, an architectural firm with an environmental focus, for 37 years. She is the Director of Accounting and manages all daily financial and HR operations. Liz serves as the Treasurer for her church, teaches dance, is a Ferguson resident, and a proud mother of two.
