Climb the Walls at Earth Day
Looking for a fun activities during our two day festival? We have tons to do, see, and experience. There is something for everyone at the St. Louis Earth Day festival!
For animal lovers, we have The Watering Bowl Pet Adoption area featuring adoptable dogs from 4 local rescues, and there will be demonstrations from raptors (aka birds of prey, aka cool birds that kill stuff), who will fly over the audience at the Community Stage for Wings over Water – an amazing educational experience brought to us by the World Bird Sanctuary.
Metro Arts in Transit will be on site Saturday, allowing children to paint a rain garden-themed mural on both sides of the bus, sponsored by MSD. They will have the opportunity to see this bus driving around town for at least the next year!
In addition to these awesome activities, there will be opportunities to decorate tree-cookies (and eat tree cookies) at the Missouri Department of Conservation‘s booth, learn about hellbenders and build a bee block at the St. Louis Zoo’s booth, make your own native flower-filled seed bombs, and so much more, including a rock climbing wall, courtesy of Upper limits!
At two ends of the Festival, beginning every hour, adults and children can practice (or try) yoga in the pavilion on the west side of the Muny theater with our friends from YogaBuzz, and in the center of the Big Field, EarthDance Farms will be conductig hourly classes on a variety of home gardening topics.
The Saint Louis Earth Day festival is April 22nd and 23rd in Forest Park, from 11am-5pm. The event is free, and open to everyone. See you at the festival!
