Founders Day Celebration
We’re kicking off the 25th year of Earth Day in St. Louis with a big party, and you’re invited! It’s been 25 years since the first annual St. Louis Earth Day Festival was held. From grassroots origins, created by many of the movers and shakers still active in the sustainability scene, St. Louis Earth Day has grown to host one of the oldest and largest Earth Day celebrations in the nation and provides year-round programming to support environmental sustainability in the region.
Were you there in 1970? Or 1989? Or 2000? What do you remember? Where was the event held? Who was involved? Which organizations were “being born”? How have things changed since?
Join us at our first-ever Founders Day celebration. We’ll recognize how far we’ve come and look forward to our future, while honoring all those who have contributed to making the organization what it is today. Help us fill in the gaps within our timeline and create a more robust picture of where we have been. Help us envision what a future with everyday sustainability looks like for St. Louis!
