Green Ball to benefit EarthWays Center.
You are invited to hang out at St. Louis’ funkiest hotel, with some of the funkiest green folks in the city–all while supporting the EarthWays Center!
Don’t miss the second annual Green Ball at The Moonrise Hotel. This rocking, “zero impact” celebration of all things green will be held on Saturday, April 2 from 7–11pm, and if you weren’t at the inaugural event last year, you’re in for a bundle of eco-friendly fun: Live music, a menu of locally sourced foods, an open bar and a lively green fashion contest are all features of this event which benefits the EarthWays Center: A Division of the Missouri Botanical Garden.
The EarthWays Center is a group devoted to an increasingly vital goal: conservation of energy and other natural resources for the future, otherwise known as “sustainability” – meeting the needs of the current generation without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs.
EarthWays Center staff work directly with the general public and other audiences, including kindergarten through 12th grade (K–12) educators and students, college and university students, instructors, staff and community educators. They also work with green building professionals, auditors, contractors, businesses and local municipality leaders, with the goal of improving the built environment.
So, get out your most creative green attire (think reuse, reduce, recycle) and join us Saturday, April 2nd. Tickets are $60 per person if purchased by March 28; $75 after that. Visit www.moonrisehotel.com/greenball for tickets and more information, or click here to view a flier with highlights of the event.
