Hungry for sustainability?

Never has environmental sustainability tasted so good! During the month of November, for every online order with Pi Chesterfield or Pi Kirkwood, a donation will be made to St. Louis Earth Day. So this month, in addition to supporting a local restaurant known for its sustainable practices, you can support a local non-profit institution which has brought you the St. Louis Earth Day Festival for 21 years and strives to make every day earth day in the St. Louis region through our year-round green programming.

Find out more details from Pi’s facebook page and visit them online to place your order (and donate!)!

We love Pi and it’s not just because Chris Sommers, owner of Pi Pizzeria, joined the St. Louis Earth Day Board of Directors in June 2010. After spending 10 years in San Francisco working in the IT industry, Chris returned to his hometown of St. Louis and opened the first Pi Pizzeria on March 14, 2008 (3.14, get it?). Since then, Pi has set the local standard-not only for pizza-but also for operating a restaurant as sustainably as possible. There are currently four Pi locations–Kirkwood, Central West End, Delmar Loop and Chesterfield–in addition to the Pi-On-The-Spot truck and a Washington, D.C. location opening next year! Chris joined St. Louis Earth Day because of a strong personal and professional concern with his environmental footprint, and is looking forward to sharing his experience of operating a green business with others in the region.
