Recycle your Mardi Gras beads.

First Mardi Gras, and now bead recycling comes to St. Louis from New Orleans!

For years, ARC of Greater New Orleans has collected, processed, packaged and resold beads through a vocational training program for individuals with intellectual disabilities. Now, thanks to the passion of Debra Pottinger of Pure Power, a similar program is being instituted in St. Louis.

Starting February 22, 2013 you can drop off your beads at the following locations. Look for 5 gallon buckets with signage about the collection.
