Undumpster Day is sponsored by the St. Louis-Jefferson Solid Waste Management District and presented by earthday365. The event will feature multiple vendors accepting donations such as electronics, latex paint, medical equipment, clothing/fabric, and more. View the tabs below to see what is accepted and what to avoid. We hope you can join us for this fun and educational event!
***Note: Electronics & Paint recycling fees will be waived for attendees while funding lasts. Come early to take advantage! Fees may apply once funding runs out.
Logistics for the May 31st event
Entrance: Enter the drive-thru Recycling Drop-off eastbound from Itaska St. Please do not pull in off of South Grand. From either direction on S. Grand, we recommend turning onto Delor St. to S. Spring Ave. to join the line on Itaska St.
Traffic Flow: Cars will pull through the front road to drop off items with our recycling vendors. Please have your items easily accessible so unloading can run smoothly. Once you complete the drive-thru drop-off, park in the lot to the side of the school to enjoy the music and educational fun!
Exits: If you are parked in the side lot, you will exit at the Itaska exit marked on the map below. If you are only dropping off items and can’t stay for the activities, please use the exit onto South Grand after you complete your drop off.
Our volunteers will be there to guide you every step of the way and keep the line moving smoothly. Volunteers can assist with unloading items from your car, but please ensure items are easy to access. View the map below for a full parking layout.
- ADA parking is available in the parking lot
- Bike parking will be available. Please bring your own bike lock.
- Public transit options: Use Metro’s “Plan Your Trip” feature to find the most accessible route.
- Walk-ups are welcome! Please join the line at the entrance and move parallel to the line of cars.
