SLED participates in first ever Give STL Day.
What can we give in a day?
Give STL Day is a 24-hour giving event with local impact and SLED is one of the 500 registered non-profits.
Give STL Day is a day when your support can go farther because your donation could earn St. Louis Earth Day matching dollars (and you could win prizes!).
Your donation to St. Louis Earth Day during this 24 hour initiative supports the work we do all year:
- Bringing over 30,000 people to together to learn, engage, and celebrate our common ground at our St. Louis Earth Day Festival;
- Reducing landfill waste at over 70 of the area’s favorite events through our Recycling On the Go event greening program;
- Introducing hundreds of thousands of people to recycling and composting;
- Helping planners and governments stay up-to-date on sustainability topics at our Earth Day Symposium;
- Working with restaurants to “Go Green” through our Green Dining Alliance certification program; and,
- Providing funding for 24 small community projects through our Earth Day Action Grants.

Prizes for YOU & Nonprofits
Throughout the day, there will be cash prizes drawn at random for participating non-profits and Cardinals tickets drawn for donors.
Double Your Impact
During power hours, donations of up to $500 are doubled through matching donations from corporate sponsors. Donate at 8am, 10am, noon, 2pm, 5pm and 8pm. Donate early in the hour for the best chance to double your gift (matching donations cap at $10,000 per hour).
In addition, the nonprofit with the most donations at the end of the day will win a bonus of $5,000.
