Thanks to our community for helping us move!
The St. Louis Earth Day team would like to offer a sincere and heart-felt “thank you!” to all of those who helped us move and settle into our new home-away-from-home (the SLED office) last Saturday afternoon.
With nearly 20 sets of hands, light work was made of our move from the Grand Oak Hill Community Center to the rectory building of Cfx‘s office, a renovated/re-purposed church at Humphrey and Oak Hill in South St. Louis. Volunteers helped pack, clean, unpack and move boxes and some heavy furniture.
After an afternoon of moving fun, we wrapped up with delicious burgers and sides, provided by our neighbor, The Dam, at a tremendous discount (thanks, Michele!).
We would also like to recognize the Cfx Team for their help with the logistics of inspections, zoning hearings and repairs – thanks Amy, Kevin, Megan and Chris!! We are so happy to have you and the rest of the Cfx Team as our neighbors now!
And, a big thank you for the donations that have come in, helping us feel more comfortable in our space! There are a couple more items on our list, if you are doing some spring cleaning or helping someone else move – keep us in mind.
We love our new space and enjoyed our first week with windows opening to the spring air and plenty of space for the office dogs to run around, completed by a courtyard which makes a perfect lunch spot (though it is still waiting for a picnic or patio table and chairs!)
It’s a difficult time of year for us to pack up and re-situate, with the Earth Day Festival right around the corner, but we met our goal of only 1 down day, thanks to careful planning and preparation from Bob Henkel and Kathy Dolson and our mover volunteers.
Thanks to our movers (both staff & volunteers!):
- John Allen
- Miles Cargas
- Kevin Chau
- Kathy Dolson
- Mark Eisenberg
- Kathleen Engel

Do you know a great nonprofit looking for office space? The first floor of the rectory is still available for rent, as a whole space or individual offices. We’d love to share our space with a like-minded organization or company! Contact Amy if you are interested in learning more: ak@cfx-inc.com
