The Pandemic Will End But the Climate Crisis Isn’t Going Away – 5:30

Rivers will flood and the planet will keep heating up, regardless of whether or not a pandemic is happening. As the spread of COVID-19 forces people to stay home and limit physical contact, our behaviors are changing our impact on the environment. But how will the pandemic make it more challenging to respond to natural disasters? And how are communities of color and low-income people affected by viral and environmental threats?

St. Louis Public Radio science reporter, Eli Chen, and engagement producer, Lindsay Toler, will host a discussion about how environmental problems and the COVID-19 pandemic intersect, and how lessons from the crisis that’s keeping us at home can inform how we address the crisis that will affect us for decades to come.
