Meet Sarah!

“As a health inspector for the Saint Louis County Health Department, I see food waste and general wasteful tendencies day in and day out in our community. While researching ways to help reduce that waste and how to bring those ideas to the health department, I stumbled upon Saint Louis Earth Day.

“While starting with office work to prep for the big Earth Day festival, I quickly found other facets of SLED that were of great interest to me I could get involved in. I started working educational booths for the Green Dining Alliance to promote and educate the public on the certification process and the positive impact it’s making for its members.

“I recently volunteered for Recycling On the Go during the Fourth of July holiday weekend and am now in the process of joining the ROG team to continue to serve the community in a uniquely satisfying way. I’m looking forward to more opportunities SLED has to offer and some great chances to make a difference while enjoying events in my community!”
