Make volunteering part of your summer plans.

Volunteer with St. Louis Earth Day

With kids out of school, you may be looking for new family adventures, or want to take advantage of great weather and get outside —  volunteering is a perfect fit!

There are lots of ways to keep engaged with St. Louis Earth Day throughout the year, such as by hosting a Dine-Out Night at one of our Green Dining Alliance-certified restaurants or joining our event-greening crew at one of the many celebrations where you’ll find our Recycling On the Go. Families and groups are welcome, and you can find out more details about the opportunities below:

  • Host a Dine-Out Night: Once a month, we invite anyone and everyone to join us at a GDA-certified restaurant to show support for green dining options in the region. As a host, you’ll welcome folks at the restaurant and promote it to your friends, family and co-workers. As a thank you, you’ll receive some pretty sweet swag and a gift certificate to a member restaurant. Email Olivia (olivia@greendiningalliance.org) or visit www.greendiningalliance.org for more details.
  • Volunteer with Recycling On the Go: Experience some of the region’s favorite events in a totally unique way as a volunteer helping to keep recyclables out of the landfill. See what upcoming events are on our schedule and submit a volunteer form to get started: www.stlouisearthday.org/programs/rog/volunteering-with-recycling-on-the-go

Bella and Solomon volunteered this year at Food Truck Friday in Tower Grove Park with Recycling On the Go. Seen here with ROG staff Jenny, the two helped kept the energy high in their Waste Station -- and it was contagious! You could feel the good vibes floating out into the crowd. Not only did they learn a lot, totally rock out as outstanding volunteers, but they got to meet tons of new people. And, perhaps, inspiring them to recycle too.
