Tyrean “Heru” Lewis is the founder and CEO of Heru Urban Farming. The residents they serve have a problem – and it’s food apartheid. Their mission is to provide sustainable fresh locally grown produce to those who need it the most. Not only do they provide fresh locally grown organic produce, they also provide farming education, training sessions, and a sense of community. They have two locations: one in north city and another in north county. They are dedicated and inspired to bring food security to those who have been forgotten. I will demonstrate how to build a simple garden bed.
